BINTULU – The Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) received a courtesy call from the delegation of Adam Digital and Ajil Biofuel Sdn. Bhd. on 4 February 2026 as a move towards potential cooperation in energy technology and industrial solutions.
The delegation was met by Datu Haji Muhamad Yakup bin Kari General Manager of the BDA, Tuan Haji Abdul Rahim bin Haji Abdullah Deputy General Manager and En. Fatehi bin Haji Marzuki, Senior Manager, Planning and Land Use Division.
Haji Abang Hashim Abang Abdul Aziz, Director and Hajah Mayani Zunita Haji Mohamad Bohari, Chief Executive Officer represented Adam Digital. Ajil Biofuel was attended by Brad Lee, the Director & Chief Technology Officer and Hannes Klobe, Project Director & Chief Operating Officer.
Adam Digital is recognized for specialising in low-carbon technology development and high-tech energy projects, backing economic change as well as green energy activities.
Through Ajil Biofuel, on the other hand, it has renewable energy focused thermal and power generation businesses, a consulting services business and the sale of trading green energy technologies and products.
The discussion focused on potential integrated energy solutions that can help towards building a low carbon industrial ecosystem in Bintulu. The meetings emphasized the need for collaboration to drive sustainable energy initiatives that would help to achieve Sarawak’s long-term industrial development aspirations.
The potential cooperation was under consideration but qualified it by highlighting that such projects are consistent with Sarawak’s larger ambition of promoting alternative energy and cutting CO2 emissions, according to BDA officials.
The visit also emphasized Bintulu’s position as a base for industrial expansion, with local collaborations with cutting-edge firms helping to facilitate the shift towards more sustainable energy sources faster.
The courtesy visit is anticipated to promote more interactions and collaboration between the parties in developing Bintulu into a sustainable industrial centre in Sarawak.
