DALAT – The Dalat District Civil Defence Force (APM) successfully conducted a medical rescue operation in Kampung Kekan Seberang yesterday, 2 April 2026, after an elderly resident suffered a fall in her home.
The Dalat District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) received an emergency call from a concerned member of the public reporting that an elderly woman had collapsed in her kitchen.
Upon arrival at the residence, APM personnel found the victim lying in her bedroom, unable to move due to severe back pain resulting from the fall.
Recognising the need for careful handling, the responding staff utilised a scoop stretcher to safely immobilise and lift the victim from her room. The use of specialised equipment ensured that the patient was moved without exacerbating her back injury.
Once she was secured on the stretcher, the team transferred her into a 4×4 ambulance to begin the journey to the nearest hospital for professional medical assessment and treatment.
“Thank you for contacting the District Operations Control Center (PKOD), APM Dalat,” the agency noted in a brief statement following the successful handover of the patient.
The incident highlights the critical role played by the Civil Defence Force in rural communities, where rapid response is essential for senior citizens who may live alone or have limited mobility.
The Dalat APM team remains committed to providing efficient, compassionate service to those in medical distress.
Residents are reminded that the APM is available to assist in various emergency scenarios, including non-traumatic medical cases and safety-related incidents.
The timely coordination between the public and the District Operations Control Centre ensured that the victim received the help she needed as quickly as possible.
