The Civil Defence Force emphasised its operational motto, “Ready, Fast & Integrity”, highlighting the importance of rapid response and professional conduct in safeguarding community welfare.

Residents are reminded that in any emergency situation, whether involving police, fire, medical or civil defence services, the national emergency hotline 999 remains the primary contact point. This ensures that assistance can be dispatched quickly and coordinated effectively across agencies.

The incident underscores the importance of community vigilance and the role of local emergency services in providing immediate support during health-related crises.

With Sematan’s rural setting, timely intervention by APM and PKOD is crucial in bridging the gap between initial treatment and hospital care.

As Sarawak continues to strengthen its emergency response framework, cases such as this demonstrate the value of public cooperation and the efficiency of district-level coordination centres.

The ability to respond rapidly to medical emergencies not only saves lives but also reinforces public confidence in the state’s emergency management system.
