APM Mukah Captures 2-Metre Batik Python Safely

MUKAH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Mukah District successfully captured a 2-metre batik python during an emergency operation on 29 March 2026, following a public report to the Mukah District Operations Control Centre (PKOD).

The python was discovered at the back of a house, prompting immediate concern from residents. APM personnel were dispatched to the scene and carried out the capture using baiting techniques, ensuring the safety of both the public and the officers involved.

The operation was completed smoothly, with no untoward incidents reported. APM confirmed that the situation was under control and the snake was safely removed from the residential area.
