Mukah APM Rushes Unconscious Man To Hospital Following Emergency Call

MUKAH – On the 30th of March 2026, emergency rescue personnel from the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in the Mukah district successfully evacuated an adult male who was found in a critical medical state within a private residential property.

The incident unfolded when the district operations control centre, locally known as PKOD Mukah, received an urgent distress signal. Concerned members of the public had dialled in to report a severe illness case requiring immediate paramedical assistance.

Recognising the potential severity of the situation, a team of trained responders was immediately dispatched to the residential address. Upon arriving at the scene, the rescue members quickly located the victim inside the living room of the house.

Initial medical assessments conducted on-site revealed a highly concerning clinical picture. The male victim was discovered entirely unconscious and completely unresponsive to external stimuli. Furthermore, the responders noted that the individual was suffering from profound weakness across all of his limbs.

Medical professionals generally regard such sudden onsets of unresponsiveness and limb weakness as high-priority medical emergencies. These specific symptoms can often point towards severe neurological events, cardiovascular complications, or other acute systemic failures that demand urgent hospitalisation.

Demonstrating their rigorous emergency training, the APM Mukah personnel swiftly moved to stabilise and secure the patient. To ensure maximum safety during the extraction process, the team elected to utilise a specialised medical apparatus known as a scoop stretcher.

This specific type of stretcher is a standard and crucial tool within emergency medical services. It is specifically designed to split in half and slide under a patient from both sides, allowing first responders to lift and transfer incapacitated individuals with the absolute minimum amount of physical manipulation.

By employing the scoop stretcher, the rescue team effectively mitigated the risk of aggravating any potential spinal, muscular, or neurological injuries the victim might have sustained before their arrival.

Once the patient was safely secured and completely immobilised on the apparatus, he was carefully carried out of the residence and loaded into a waiting emergency ambulance.

The emergency vehicle then conducted a rapid transfer to Mukah Hospital. Upon arrival at the medical facility, the patient was immediately handed over to the hospital’s emergency department staff, where he is currently undergoing comprehensive medical evaluation and advanced clinical treatment.

This swift and highly coordinated intervention serves as a strong reminder of the critical role played by the Civil Defence Force in safeguarding the health and well-being of the local community. Their constant readiness and rapid deployment capabilities are indispensable components of the broader emergency healthcare infrastructure in the region.

Local health and safety authorities continue to encourage residents to remain highly vigilant regarding the health of their family members and neighbours. The public is reminded that early intervention is often the most vital factor in ensuring positive outcomes during severe medical crises.

For any sudden illnesses, accidents, or life-threatening situations, immediate communication with emergency services is essential. The public is strongly advised to save the direct contact details of their local rescue organisations to ensure help can be requested without delay.

Residents in the district requiring urgent paramedical or rescue assistance should immediately contact the APM Mukah emergency hotline. The dedicated operations control centre remains fully staffed and on standby twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and can be reached at any time by dialling 084-872814.
