In addition, arrests were made under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving, including wheelies. Offenders convicted under this section face penalties of up to five years’ imprisonment and fines between RM5,000 and RM15,000 for a first offence. Repeat offenders may face up to ten years in prison and fines ranging from RM10,000 to RM20,000, alongside possible driving licence disqualification.
