APM Spaoh Assists Elderly Man with Muscle Spasms

SPAOH – The Spaoh District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) responded to an emergency call on 6 May 2026 after receiving a report of an elderly man experiencing muscle spasms and weakness.

The call was made at 1.23 pm by Mr Royston, who requested immediate assistance to transport the victim to hospital.

A four-member Bravo Squad, led by Sergeant (PA) Hasla bin Deli, was dispatched to Rumah Panjang Danau using the Malaysia 4×4 Ambulance 8835. Upon arrival, the team found a 51-year-old man in a weakened state, suffering from muscle spasms.

It was reported that the victim had earlier accompanied several longhouse residents during a land measurement activity before his condition deteriorated.

The victim was moved to the roadside while awaiting the ambulance, allowing responders to conduct preliminary examinations.

The team performed a Rapid Body Scan (RBS) and used a vital signs monitor to assess his condition. Results indicated that the man was stable, though in need of further medical attention.

Following the assessment, the victim was transported safely to Betong Hospital for continued treatment. Authorities confirmed that the operation was carried out smoothly and without complications.

The Civil Defence Force (APM) Spaoh reiterated its commitment to its guiding principle of “Ready, Fast, Integrity”, stressing the importance of swift response in safeguarding community health and safety.
