SPAOH – The Spaoh District Civil Defence Force (APM Spaoh) responded promptly to an emergency call on 20 May 2026 after receiving reports of an elderly man suffering from a high fever in Kampung Tengah Bungin.
The District Operation Control Centre was alerted at around 8 am by a concerned member of the public who requested assistance in transporting the victim to hospital. Four members of the Bravo Squad, led by Sergeant (PA) Hasla Bin Deli, were immediately dispatched to the location.
Upon arrival, the team conducted an initial assessment and found a 67-year-old man experiencing severe fever. Using a Vital Sign Monitor, they discovered that his blood pressure was elevated while his oxygen saturation was low, indicating a potentially serious condition.
The Civil Defence personnel administered oxygen therapy through a high-flow mask to stabilise the patient before arranging for his transfer to Betong Hospital for further medical treatment. Their swift intervention ensured that the victim received urgent care without delay.
APM Spaoh reaffirmed its commitment to its guiding principle of “Ready, Fast, With Integrity,” highlighting the importance of rapid response in safeguarding community health and safety. The unit continues to play a vital role in handling emergencies across the district, ranging from medical cases to disaster management.
