SRI AMAN – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Sri Aman District responded promptly to an emergency call on 22 June 2026 after a tree collapsed onto an electric cable in Taman Tiara Phase 1, raising concerns for nearby residents.
The incident was reported at 11.38 am by members of the public, who alerted the district operations centre to the potential danger.
APM personnel were immediately dispatched to the site using a JMC LRV vehicle to assess the situation and take necessary action.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the fallen tree had struck the electric cable, posing a risk of electrical hazards and possible disruption to the neighbourhood. The team quickly began cutting and clearing the tree to remove the obstruction.
The operation was carried out safely and efficiently, with APM members ensuring that no further damage occurred to the cable or surrounding property. By the end of the intervention, the area was declared secure, and normal conditions were restored.
