APM Tanjung Manis Destroys Wasp Nest in Belawai

In Belawai, the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Tanjung Manis District carried out an operation to remove a wasp nest in Kampung Masjid Lama on 15 March 2026, following an emergency call from a local agency.

A team of three APM members located the nest on the veranda of the resident’s house. Using insect repellent spray, the team safely destroyed the nest without incident.

Officials noted that such operations are part of APM’s ongoing efforts to maintain public safety, especially in residential areas where wasp nests pose potential risks to families. The prompt response ensured the threat was removed before it could cause harm.

Residents were reminded not to attempt nest removal themselves, as improper handling can result in stings or severe allergic reactions. Instead, they should contact the authorities for professional assistance.

The Belawai operation demonstrates APM’s proactive role in addressing emergency situations and safeguarding communities. Quick action helps build public confidence in the force’s ability to manage safety hazards effectively.
