Batang Lupar Schools Receive RM315,000 PTA Boost

KUCHING – An allocation of RM315,000 has been distributed to 39 schools within the Batang Lupar parliamentary constituency.

The funding is intended to bolster the role of Parent-Teacher Associations (PIBG) and enhance educational facilities.

Batang Lupar Member of Parliament, Mohamad Shafizan Kepli, announced the disbursement during a gathering for educators at the Waterfront Hotel.

He stated that the financial injection would directly benefit teachers and staff in creating a safer and more conducive learning environment for students.

“With this allocation, it will benefit educators in the Batang Lupar constituency,” Shafizan said. He also pledged to relay pressing educational issues from the constituency to the federal Minister of Education.

The MP concurrently emphasised the critical function of the PIBG in safeguarding student welfare. He urged parents to closely monitor their children’s behaviour to prevent involvement in escalating social and disciplinary problems.

He further called on local communities to alert schools or families if they observe students engaging in undesirable activities.

The event, orchestrated by the Batang Lupar Parliamentary Service Centre, served as a platform to collect feedback and concerns from educators on local schooling challenges.

The initiative underscores a collaborative effort to address educational needs at the grassroots level.
