Batu Kitang Saberkas Appoints New Committee for Batu Tiga Unit 2026-2029

KUCHING, SARAWAK – The Batu Kitang Batu Tiga branch of the Sarawak United National Youth Association (SABERKAS) held its committee meeting on February 14, 2026, at the Saradise Office, marking the start of a new leadership term.

The meeting, chaired by unit chairmen En. Albert Lee Joo Hee, was attended by branch committee members. The agenda included the Chairman’s speech, confirmation of minutes from the previous meeting, reports from the Batu Tiga Unit Secretary Mr. Wong Chee Xiang and Treasurer, the formal dissolution of the 2023–2025 committee, and the appointment of the new committee for 2026–2029.

With the guidance of En. Shamsudin Bin Hj Unai, the Batu Tiga unit successfully formed the new unit committee. En. Albert Lee will continue as Chairman, with Mr. Wong Chee Xiang as Vice Chairman. Tan Lik Hong was appointed as Secretary, and Winnie Lee as Treasurer. Committee members (AJK) include Vincent Tang, Lawrence Kiat, Terry, and Peggy Roland.

En. Albert Lee expressed his gratitude to the outgoing committee members for their service and encouraged the new team to continue strengthening youth engagement and community activities at Batu Tiga in Batu Kitang. The new committee aims to carry forward SABERKAS’ tradition of youth leadership, civic involvement, and community development.

The Batu Kitang branch has a long history of nurturing young leaders and promoting local initiatives. With the new committee now in place, the community can expect upcoming programs designed to empower youth and enhance social development throughout the Batu Kitang area.
