In addition to sports and cultural activities, the festival provided essential services through agency counters and community stalls.

The Betong Social Welfare Department (JKM) offered welfare-related assistance, while the Sarawak Service Counter handled matters related to the Sarawak Pass.

Visitors also benefited from Rahmah Sales, local food and handicraft stalls, and financial services provided by Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB).

The lively atmosphere reflected the strong spirit of cooperation and solidarity among residents. Organisers noted that the high level of participation demonstrated the resilience and unity of the Bukit Saban community, particularly in celebrating diversity and shared heritage.

In his remarks, Dr Richard Rapu emphasised the festival’s role in promoting inclusivity and strengthening community ties. He highlighted the theme of “Together continuing the Betong Division.”

Betong towards prosperity and well-being in diversity,” which aligns with Sarawak’s broader vision of stability, progress and prosperity.

The event also carried cultural significance, with slogans such as ‘Begulai Sejalai, Jaga Sarawak, Intu Sarawak’ reinforcing the collective identity and aspirations of the people.

As the festival drew to a close, organisers extended their appreciation to all participants, winners and supporting agencies.

The success of the programme was attributed to the collaborative efforts of local leaders, government departments and community members who worked together to ensure a memorable celebration.

The Bukit Saban Food and Sports Festival has become a platform not only for entertainment and competition but also for strengthening community welfare and showcasing Sarawak’s cultural richness.

Its conclusion marks another step towards building a more united and prosperous society in the Betong Division.
