Firefighters Clear Fallen Tree Blocking Road in Sri Aman

SRI AMAN – Firefighters from the Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Station responded swiftly to a fallen tree incident that blocked access to Kampung Sepatak, Jalan Paip, on Monday evening, 11 May 2026.

The incident was reported at 7.00pm by Tr Jini, who contacted the station directly. Bravo Team was deployed to the site, located approximately seven kilometres from the station.

The team travelled in a Toyota Hilux (WC 5246 G) with a manpower strength of three members. Operation Commander PB Mohd Kamarol Bin Ani led the response.

Upon arrival, the team conducted a size-up and confirmed that a large tree had collapsed across the road, obstructing residents from entering the village.

Equipped with full personal protective gear, the firefighters used a chainsaw to cut through the fallen tree. The operation involved clearing debris and ensuring the road was safe for use.

Once the path was fully reopened and no further hazards were detected, the team returned to the station.

No other agencies were involved in the operation, and no senior officers were present at the site. The operation was completed without complications, and no injuries were reported.

The Fire and Rescue Department highlighted the importance of community vigilance in reporting such incidents promptly.
