MIRI (May 24): A devastating fire razed a roadside stall in Kampung Tudan yesterday, leaving its owner out of business and causing significant damage.

Quick Response by Lutong Fire Station

The Lutong fire station swiftly responded to the emergency, following a report filed via the Malaysian Emergency Response Services number 999 at 1.11 pm. Firefighters were promptly dispatched to the scene to combat the blaze.

Stall Reduced to Ashes

Upon arrival, the firefighting team discovered that the temporary structure, measuring 12 feet by 22 feet, had already been engulfed in flames. Despite their best efforts, the stall was completely destroyed by the fire.

Efforts to Extinguish the Fire

The operation commander directed the firefighters to extinguish the fire using water from their fire engine. After ensuring the blaze was fully extinguished and would not reignite, the team concluded their operation.

This unfortunate incident highlights the vulnerability of temporary structures to fire and the need for robust safety measures.
