MIRI: A multi-vehicle collision near Alambumi Junction on Jalan Pan Borneo Miri-Bintulu resulted in five people being injured yesterday (June 3).

Incident Details

Batu Niah fire station chief Rary Binjie reported that the victims, aged 18, 19, 21, 57, and 64, were promptly attended to following the incident. The emergency services received the call at 1.12 pm, reporting a crash involving a Toyota Hilux, a Nissan Almera, and a Perodua Ativa.

Victims and Rescue Efforts

A front passenger seat in the Toyota Hilux, a 57-year-old woman, sustained injuries. A man in the same vehicle was helped out by bystanders. A 21-year-old individual in the Nissan Almera was similarly freed by the public. The Perodua Ativa had two victims, aged 18 and 19, who were also assisted by passers-by.

Rary Binjie said Bomba personnel wasted no time stabilizing the vehicles and safely removing the injured woman from the Toyota Hilux. All the victims were sent to the hospital for treatment for their injuries.
