Four Men Arrested in Bau for Suspected Drug Abuse

BAU – The Bau District Police Headquarters confirmed the arrest of four men during an integrated operation carried out in the early hours of Sunday, 3 May 2026.

The suspects, aged between 23 and 35, were detained in the areas surrounding Pangkalan Bau Village and Serkin Bau Village.

The arrests were made by members of the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division, supported by personnel from the Bau District Police Office.

Preliminary urine screening tests conducted on the suspects returned positive results for drug use. All four individuals were subsequently taken into custody under provisions of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

District Police Chief PISUPT Mohd Haide bin A. Rahman stated that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse in Bau.

He emphasised that the police remain firm in their stance against narcotics-related offences, reiterating that decisive action will be taken against anyone found to be involved in such activities.
