Incident Details
The home of Selangor FC defender Ahmed Kusami was allegedly burgled yesterday evening. According to a police report cited by FMT, Kusami revealed that he had left his home at around 2:00 p.m. to attend a training session. Upon his return at approximately 9:00 p.m., he discovered both his front and back gates open.
The 30-year-old footballer found that his Yamaha motorcycle had been stolen, along with four sling bags of various brands and his passport.

This incident comes amidst rising concerns over the safety of football players in Malaysia. Last week, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) urged the Malaysian Football League to enhance safety protocols for players, especially during match day travels to and from stadiums and their designated accommodations.
FAM Deputy President Yusf Mahadi emphasized the critical need for player safety, particularly after several recent attacks on local footballers. These incidents have raised alarms within the football community, highlighting the vulnerability of players even off the pitch.
Previous Attacks on Football Players
- May 2nd Incident: Tanu FC winger Aka Rashid was attacked by two robbers after returning home from training. The assault left him in a critical condition.
- May 5th Incident: Selangor FC winger Fizel Halim was the victim of an acid attack at a mall. Halim suffered fourth-degree burns and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit due to the severity of his injuries.
- May 7th Incident: Former national team and Johor Darul Ta’zim skipper Safiq Rahim’s car had its rear windscreen smashed as he was returning home from training.
