The three-person delegation was led by Inspector Aidil Ameen bin Alias, Head of the General Policing/Community Policing Branch of BPJKKD Kuching, accompanied by Sergeant Major Asmahwati binti Amat and Sergeant Donald bin Kadul.

The meeting focused on strengthening strategic collaboration between the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), particularly IPD Kuching, and JBSN Sarawak in implementing programmes involving youth and the wider community. Both sides discussed ways to coordinate roles, exchange views, and identify forms of cooperation that could be carried out in an integrated manner.

Officials emphasised that the partnership aims to enhance safety awareness, crime prevention, and community well-being, especially among young people in Kuching. The approach will be community-friendly, ensuring that programmes are accessible and resonate with the needs of local residents.

The courtesy visit reflects the growing importance of inter-agency collaboration in addressing social challenges. By working together, PDRM and JBSN Sarawak hope to create initiatives that not only prevent crime but also empower youth through education, sports, and community engagement.

Youth development has been identified as a key factor in building safer communities. Programmes that combine crime prevention with positive activities such as sports and leadership training are expected to help reduce risk behaviours while fostering resilience among young people.

JBSN Sarawak expressed appreciation for the visit, noting that the collaboration will provide opportunities to design impactful programmes that strengthen community ties. IPD Kuching reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote safety and discipline while encouraging youth participation.

The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to continue exploring joint initiatives, ensuring that future programmes are well-coordinated and effective in achieving their shared goals. The partnership is expected to serve as a model for integrated community policing and youth development in Sarawak.
