Jointly organised by the Sarawak Transformation and Innovation Unit (STIU) and the Sibu Divisional Administration, the workshop aimed to refine current administrative systems to better meet customer expectations and ensure compliance with international quality standards.

Director of STIU, Superi Awang Said, stated that the initiative supports Sarawak’s ambition to create a more business-friendly environment that attracts high-impact investments.

“Continuous improvements to procedures such as BNR and TL not only make things easier for traders and investors, but also contribute to a more conducive business environment which helps boost economic activities and attract more high-impact investments to Sarawak,” he said in a statement.

During the workshop, participants conducted comprehensive reviews of existing procedures, identified inconsistencies in implementation, and proposed enhancements such as clarity in work procedures, bureaucracy reduction, and standardised documentation across all districts.
