BINTULU – The Road Transport Department Malaysia Bintulu Club marked the month of Ramadan with a Bubur Lambuk Distribution Programme on 12 March 2026.
The initiative brought staff from the Bintulu branch together in a shared effort focused on service and community spirit.
The programme was attended by Fedrick Kedo, who joined staff in preparing and distributing Bubur Lambuk.
The porridge was handed to visitors at the JPJ office as a gesture of appreciation during the festive period.
Prepared through a gotong-royong effort, the activity reflected teamwork among staff. The distribution also served as a sign of goodwill toward members of the public visiting the branch.
Organisers said the programme strengthened ties between JPJ and the local community. Direct engagement with visitors helped create a welcoming atmosphere at the office while sharing the spirit of Ramadan.
Community-based initiatives like this continue to play a role in strengthening trust between public agencies and citizens.
By combining cultural traditions with outreach, programmes like the bubur lambuk distribution help bring communities together.
Across Sarawak, similar activities take place during Ramadan, reflecting a wider focus on community welfare and shared celebration.
For residents of Bintulu, the JPJ initiative offered both a festive treat and a reminder of the season’s focus on compassion and unity.
As Ramadan continues, efforts like the Bintulu programme show how public institutions support community well-being while sharing the spirit of the holy month.
