JPJ Bintulu Conducts Daily Ops, Inspects 142 Vehicles

BINTULU – The JPJ Bintulu Branch conducted its Daily Operations on 5 February 2026, focusing on patrols across Bintulu Town and static enforcement along Jalan Kidurong. The operation aimed to ensure that road users adhere to traffic laws consistently and safely.

During the checks, officers inspected 142 private and commercial vehicles. They identified various offences, including driving without a valid licence, expired road tax, lack of insurance, and improperly displayed registration numbers. Other technical violations related to vehicle safety were also noted.

Enforcement was carried out according to the law, with JPJ emphasising the importance of prioritising road safety and protecting all road users.

The department reminded motorists to remain vigilant and ensure that licences, road tax, and insurance are valid. Drivers were also encouraged to maintain their vehicles in safe and roadworthy condition.

JPJ Bintulu noted that enforcement activities would be intensified as part of a long-term plan to educate and discipline drivers.

Routine operations serve both as a deterrent against violations and as an educational tool to promote responsible road behaviour.

The Daily Ops initiative reflects JPJ Sarawak’s broader commitment to strengthening road safety culture, particularly in strategic urban and industrial areas like Bintulu.

Through consistent enforcement, JPJ aims to reduce accidents and foster safer road conditions for the community.
