Kabong Prepares for Maulidur Rasul Parade and Competitions

KABONG – Preparations are underway for the Kabong-level Maulidur Rasul celebration, following a coordination meeting chaired by Kabong Assemblyman Dato Mohd Chee Kadir on Tuesday.

The meeting, which included reports from various subcommittees, finalized plans for the event scheduled for 2025.

Key activities announced include a Maulidur Rasul parade and a banner competition, with additional side events such as an Azan contest and Zikir Marhaban performances.

Otakyun Event 2026

The celebrations will be centered at the Assabirin Mosque in Kabong. Approximately 45 contingents are expected to join the parade, categorized into government departments and agencies, religious and community organizations, and Village Community Management Councils (JKKK).

Significant prize money will be awarded, with the parade champion receiving RM1,000 and a trophy, followed by RM700 for the runner-up and RM500 for third place.

UDC Event 2026

All participating contingents will receive a consolation prize of RM200. The banner competition will offer similar cash prizes and trophies for the top three entries.

The meeting was attended by Kabong District Officer Tahir Sharee, Chairman of the Kabong Islamic Welfare Trust Board Kr Ulin Tabur, along with representatives from local government departments, mosque committees, and community leaders.
