During the meeting, both parties discussed ongoing efforts to tackle illegal online gambling operations, which have been found discreetly running in convenience stores and coffee shops across the city. It was agreed that joint enforcement actions, frequent data sharing, and regular intelligence exchanges would be strengthened to curb these illegal activities.

The discussion also addressed other public safety concerns, including the presence of vagrants and homeless individuals with mental health challenges occupying public spaces. Dato Wee emphasized that MBKS is ready to collaborate with the police and relevant agencies such as the Welfare Department and Sarawak State Health Department.
