KUCHING – The city of Kuching is preparing to light up with high energy and rhythmic moves as over 9,600 Zumba enthusiasts are expected to gather for the Kuching Zumba Fiesta 2025 this Saturday, 2 August 2025. Organised by the Kuching South City Council (MBKS), the massive event will be held at the State Hockey Stadium from 7:00pm to 10:30pm.

This year’s edition marks the 10th anniversary of the event, and MBKS is aiming high—attempting to break two Malaysia Book of Records titles:

  1. Largest Participation in a Zumba Event
  2. Largest Participation in a Glow in the Dark Zumba Event

Participants will receive glow sticks, turning the stadium into a vibrant sea of lights as they move in unison to the upbeat rhythms of Zumba.

Mayor of Kuching South, Dato Wee Hong Seng, has called on all registered participants to show up and be part of this historic night.

“Registration is just the first step — we need everyone there on the night to make it count,” he stressed.

Registration is free and remains open via the iPeople App, encouraging even more Kuchingites to get involved.

To add to the excitement, participants will be in the running to win attractive prizes through a Lucky Draw, including:
