Sarawak TYT Arrives in KL for LIMA’25 Official Visit

Sarawak Head of State and Family Safely Arrive for LIMA’25 Visit

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 May – His Excellency the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, arrived safely in the capital for an official visit in conjunction with the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2025 (LIMA’25).

Accompanying him were his beloved wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd. Sanusi, their daughter Sharifah Nuril Barieyah, and granddaughter Feona. They touched down at Skypark Terminal, Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang at 11:30 am.

The arrival of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak was warmly received by the Sarawak Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts, YB Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, who also serves as the Minister of Consort. He was accompanied by his wife, YBhg. Datin Sri Hajah Zuraini Abdul Jabbar.

Also present to welcome them were YBrs. Encik Awang Supian Awang Daud, the Sarawak House Liaison Officer, and officers from the Sarawak State Astana.

His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri’s visit is part of his official engagement at LIMA’25, which is being held at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC), Langkawi, from 20 to 24 May 2025. This prestigious international event showcases maritime and aerospace advancements and is a key platform for Malaysia to strengthen regional cooperation and promote defence diplomacy.

Upon arrival, TYT Tun Pehin Sri expressed his gratitude for the smooth journey and prayed that all official matters during his visit to Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi will be blessed and carried out with ease. He also thanked all parties involved for the warm and respectful reception.

This visit marks another important step in enhancing Sarawak’s presence at the national level and fostering stronger ties in aerospace and maritime development initiatives. — TYT Sarawak
