The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre (PGO) confirmed receiving an emergency call regarding the accident at around 9.24 am. According to the statement from PGO, the rescue team arrived swiftly and found two large lorries involved in the collision. One of the lorry drivers was still stuck in his seat, unable to move due to the injury to his right leg.

Rescuers immediately used specialised rescue tools to free the victim from the wreckage. The process took some time as the team had to carefully cut through the damaged vehicle without worsening the driver’s injury. After successfully removing the victim, the 32-year-old man was handed over to the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) ambulance team. He was then transported to Sri Aman Hospital for further treatment.
