Sarawak’s Chanel Eve Lee Crowned Miss Cultural International Malaysia 2025

KUCHING – Sarawak has claimed the spotlight once again as 19-year-old Chanel Eve Lee from Kuching was crowned Miss Cultural International Malaysia 2025 at the national grand finale.

The competition, organised by Kimora Entertainment Network, brought together talented contestants from across the country. At the finale, Ng Ka Sing, 24, from Kuching secured the 1st Runner-Up position, while Jane Ong, 26, from Sabah, earned the title of 2nd Runner-Up.

Chanel, who will now represent Malaysia on the international stage in Sabah this November, described her win as a moment of pride and gratitude.

“This journey was not easy. There were doubts and challenges, but every step made me stronger and more determined. This crown is not only mine but belongs to everyone who supported me,” she said in her victory speech.

She credited her success to the support of her family, friends, fellow contestants, and organisations such as JCI Damai and JCI Moyog, who stood behind her throughout the competition.

Chanel also expressed appreciation to those who helped prepare her for the stage, including designer Yacub Taha Yacutha, who created her contemporary outfit, and Suesther C Makeup, who served as her official makeup artist.

Organisers said the Miss Cultural International Malaysia pageant aims to celebrate cultural diversity and empower young women to become ambassadors of their heritage. With her win, Chanel will now carry Malaysia’s cultural pride onto the international platform.

Observers noted that her victory reflects not only individual achievement but also Sarawak’s growing prominence in producing winners on the national stage.

The international finals will be held in Sabah this November, where Chanel is expected to showcase Malaysia’s cultural heritage to the world.
