Upon their arrival at 9.02am, firefighters discovered that the fire had spread across three houses, each measuring 20×40 square feet. The team immediately initiated both defensive and offensive firefighting strategies to prevent further damage and bring the situation under control.

The blaze was successfully contained by 9.14am, preventing it from spreading to other homes in the residential area. However, while one house was completely destroyed, the other two suffered damage to their exterior ceilings. Firefighters continued with overhaul works to ensure that there were no hidden embers that could reignite the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant about fire safety, especially during the dry season. Bomba also reminded homeowners to regularly check their electrical wiring and ensure fire prevention measures are in place.

Residents in the area expressed their relief that no lives were lost, but some lamented the property losses. A neighbor, who witnessed the incident, said, “The fire spread very quickly. We are just thankful that the firefighters responded fast and managed to stop it from spreading further.”
