GEORGE TOWN: In a dramatic turn of events following a minor road accident on Jalan Sungai Pinang, a motorcyclist has been arrested for striking a car with his helmet. The incident has caused quite a stir in the local community and online.

Arrest Details

George Town OCPD Assistant Commissioner Razlam Ab Halim announced that the suspect, a man in his 30s, was apprehended at his residence in Sungai Pinang around 7pm. The arrest followed a police report lodged by the complainant on June 8.

“The arrest was made after a complainant lodged a police report on June 8 following the minor road accident,” ACP Razlam stated in an official statement.

The incident unfolded at approximately 2.50pm when the complainant was driving along Jalan Sungai Pinang. A disagreement between the complainant and the motorcyclist escalated after the initial accident. Legal Proceedings

ACP Razlam confirmed that the suspect has been remanded for four days, until June 12, to assist with the investigation. The case is currently being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief.
