MUKAH – A briefing session titled For the People 2026 was held this morning at Kingwood Hotel, Mukah, highlighting assistance programmes and initiatives from various state agencies.
Organised by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), the event brought together representatives from ministries, foundations, and community service centres across the Central Zone.
The session was officiated by YB Roy, who also engaged in discussions with stakeholders. It aimed to clarify the range of support available to the public, including schemes under the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development (MEITD), Yayasan Sarawak, and the Ministry of Women, Children and Community Wellbeing (KPWK).
Among those present was YB Tuan Anyi anak Jana, ADUN N49 Ngemah, alongside senior officials from UKAS and other agencies.
Tn. Awang Putrayusrie Awang Redzuan, Director of UKAS, and YBhg Datu Takun bin Sunggah, Special Administrative Officer of UKAS, oversaw proceedings. Speakers included En. Mustafa Arif Kiphli and En. Syaifulhizam Othman from Yayasan Sarawak, Pn. Cynthia from MEITD, and En. Adam from KPWK.
Participants from state and parliamentary community service centres across the Central Zone attended, reflecting the collaborative nature of the initiative.
The session provided updates on ongoing programmes, introduced new measures for 2026, and encouraged feedback from local representatives to ensure support reaches communities effectively.
Officials explained that the briefing is part of broader efforts to strengthen communication between government agencies and the public.
