Permaisuri Agong Attends Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation Charity Dinner

KUALA LUMPUR – Her Royal Highness SPB Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah graced the 2025 Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation (YSB) Charity Dinner, held at M Resort & Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, on 17 November.

The event marked a significant milestone for the foundation, celebrating its 30th anniversary with the launch of the Jubilee of Pearls logo.

Her Majesty was warmly received by Her Royal Highness Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz binti Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, Tunku Temenggong of Kedah and Chairman of YSB, alongside His Royal Highness Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, Raja Dihilir of Perak.

The charity dinner also saw the presence of several distinguished royals, including Tunku Abdul Hamid Thani ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, Tunku Bendahara of Kedah; Tunku Soraya ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, Raja Puan Muda Perak; and YAM Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Dato’ Nora Abdullah, Toh Puan Bendahara Kedah.

Other attendees included Datin Paduka Dato’ Tunku Nafisah binti Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, Dato’ Seri Ir. Raja Jamil Ariffin ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, and Datin Seri Fazilah Hani binti Dato’ Harun.

The evening was further distinguished by the attendance of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, underscoring the national significance of the occasion.

During the ceremony, Her Royal Highness consented to officiate the unveiling of the foundation’s 30th anniversary logo, symbolising three decades of service to the community.

Established in 1995, the Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation (YSB) has played a vital role in welfare and community development, focusing on education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and training initiatives.

The charity dinner highlighted YSB’s ongoing mission to support underprivileged communities and strengthen social development programmes.

Guests and dignitaries reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining the foundation’s work, ensuring that its legacy continues to benefit future generations.

The event not only celebrated YSB’s achievements but also reinforced the importance of collaborative efforts between the monarchy, government, and civil society in advancing welfare and education across Malaysia.
