Four Injured After Car Skids and Crashes Into Tree at Jalan FAC-Kampung Selang

PETRA JAYA – A family of four, including two young children, were injured when their car skidded and crashed into a tree along Jalan FAC-Kampung Selang this afternoon.

The accident happened around 3.15pm when the vehicle lost control before veering off the road and colliding with a tree. Passers-by rushed to help and managed to pull out the two children, both three years old, before the fire brigade arrived.

Petra Jaya Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) personnel later arrived at the scene at 3.42pm and worked to safely remove the two adult victims from the wreckage.

PBK Operations Head I, Syed Mohd Azreen Wan Halami, said his team received an emergency call at 3.15pm and immediately deployed a rescue team to the location.

“Upon arrival, our members conducted a size-up using full personal protective equipment (PPE) and managed to extricate the victims. The adult victims were carried out using a stretcher,” he said in a statement.

The Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) Unit also provided initial medical treatment to all four victims before they were handed over to the ambulance team for further treatment at the hospital.

Authorities have yet to confirm the cause of the accident, but initial findings suggest the vehicle may have lost control due to slippery road conditions.

The incident caused temporary traffic disruption in the area as rescue operations were carried out. Motorists are advised to be extra cautious when driving along Jalan FAC-Kampung Selang, especially during wet conditions.

This case will be investigated further by the police to determine the exact cause of the crash.
