PM Anwar Reaffirms Support for Sabah Through MADANI Initiatives

SANDAKAN – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reiterated the federal government’s commitment to strengthening Sabah’s development, highlighting a range of assistance programmes designed to uplift communities and ensure inclusivity in national progress.

During his engagement with the public at the KEADILAN DUN Karamunting headquarters, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of initiatives such as STR, SARA, and BUDI MADANI, which he described as products of political stability and economic strength.

He emphasised that these programmes are intended to benefit all Malaysians, including the people of Sabah.

“These initiatives are born from political stability and the strength of the nation’s economy, to be enjoyed by all citizens, including the people of Sabah,” he said.

The Prime Minister urged citizens to continue supporting the Kerajaan MADANI, stressing that collaboration between the federal administration and the Sabah state government is crucial to advancing the national development agenda.

He outlined key priorities, including improving basic needs, strengthening infrastructure, and ensuring that the welfare of Sabahans is enhanced comprehensively and effectively.

“With the strength of the MADANI Government, working hand in hand with the Sabah State Government, we can continue the national development agenda,” he added.

Anwar Ibrahim reaffirmed that the government’s commitment is clear: to build a future that is fairer, more prosperous, and more sustainable for all Malaysians.

He noted that Sabah holds a special place in this vision, with efforts directed towards empowering communities and ensuring they are not left behind in the nation’s journey of progress.

Observers view the Prime Minister’s remarks as part of a broader strategy to reinforce federal-state cooperation, while positioning Sabah as a key partner in Malaysia’s socio-economic transformation.
