PM Anwar Ibrahim Urges Johoreans to Reject Divisive Politics

BATU PAHAT – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim joined Pakatan Harapan leaders and thousands of Johoreans at the launch of the Johor Pakatan Harapan Election Machinery, where he called on voters to reject divisive politics and embrace unity.

Despite the event being relocated at short notice, the turnout was described as extraordinary, reflecting the strong spirit and hope among Johoreans for a cleaner, more mature and future-orientated political landscape.

Anwar highlighted Johor’s vast potential, noting that investments and strategic projects are flowing into the state under the MADANI Government.

However, he stressed that the economy still has room to grow further and must be managed responsibly to ensure benefits reach the people.

“Pakatan Harapan adheres to clear principles. Every project implemented must bring direct benefits to the people. Every policy must elevate the dignity and improve the lives of the people. Every national money must be managed with trust and responsibility,” he said.

The Prime Minister acknowledged that not all issues can be resolved within three and a half years but reaffirmed that integrity remains non-negotiable.

He criticised corruption, abuse of power and political greed, insisting that Malaysia is too rich for its people to continue suffering from mismanagement.

He further emphasised that the upcoming state election is an opportunity for Johoreans to reject politics of hatred, prejudice and racial or religious division.

Instead, he urged voters to support leaders who prioritise jobs, affordable housing, quality education and public security.

“What I saw last night gives me great confidence. Malays, Chinese, and Indians gathered with a common hope. They are not united by hatred or prejudice but rather brought together by the same ideals to build a more just, developed and dignified state and country,” Anwar said.

As the election approaches, he reminded Johoreans to use their power wisely, choosing politics that unites and defends the people.

“Choose a future for Johor that is more just, developed and dignified. Choose Pakatan Harapan,” he concluded.
