Swift Response Prevents Casualties in Pujut 2 Fire

MIRI – A fire broke out in Pujut 2 at approximately 4.50pm on 21 April 2026, prompting an immediate response from emergency services and local authorities.

Miri City Council Mayor YB Adam Yii rushed to the scene alongside relevant units to assess the situation and ensure that residents were safe.

The mayor confirmed that no casualties were reported and pledged that the council would continue monitoring the aftermath while providing necessary support to affected parties.

“I rushed to the location to assess the situation. Thankfully, this fire did not involve any injuries or loss of life. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide the necessary assistance,” Mayor Yii said.

“At the same time, I would like to express my appreciation to all agencies who have carried out their duties responsibly and acted swiftly, including the fire department, police, electricity department, Red Crescent and others.
