Quick-Thinking Teachers Prevent Major Fire at SMK Tatau Quarters

TATAU – A swift response by school staff using fire extinguishers successfully prevented a fire at SMK Tatau teachers’ quarters from spreading before firefighters arrived this afternoon.

Firefighters then continued efforts using a 66.6-metre water stream to ensure the fire was fully extinguished. The affected area was a storage room beneath the teachers’ quarters, which contained carpentry and electrical equipment. The damage was estimated at around 10 percent.

By 6.35 PM, the fire was successfully brought under control, followed by a thorough inspection to prevent any potential re-ignition.
