SERIAN – Officers from the Road Transport Department (JPJ) Serian provided immediate assistance to victims of a road accident along Jalan Serian–Kuching near Sungai Sinjok on Saturday, 30 May 2026.
The incident occurred during enforcement patrols under Ops Hari Raya Aidiladha. JPJ personnel on duty responded swiftly, administering first aid to the injured driver, his wife, and their child, who were travelling together in the vehicle.
Recognising the urgency of the situation, the officers promptly alerted the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), ambulance services, and towing companies.
Their coordinated response ensured that emergency support reached the victims quickly and efficiently. In addition to providing medical assistance, JPJ members also managed traffic around the accident site.
By directing vehicles and maintaining order, they reduced the risk of further collisions and safeguarded other road users until rescue teams arrived.

By stepping in to provide aid, officers demonstrated that their duty is not limited to regulation but also encompasses care for the community.
The department expressed hope that the victims and their families will recover swiftly, while reminding the public of the importance of vigilance and caution on the roads, particularly during festive periods when traffic volumes are higher.
