SERIAN – The Civil Defence Force (APM) Serian & Fire and Rescue Department responded to a road accident along Jalan Serian-Balai Ringin on 9 May, following an emergency call from the public.
The MyAspa O Alpha Squad of APM were immediately deployed to the scene, where they found a victim suffering from multiple injuries.
Initial treatment was provided for a fractured left leg and left thumb, with further assistance rendered by the Serian Fire Department.
After stabilising the victim, emergency responders arranged for transportation to Serian Hospital for additional medical care.
Four APM members were involved in the operation, which concluded successfully with the team returning safely to the Serian Police Station.
Authorities emphasised the importance of swift reporting by the public in ensuring timely intervention during emergencies.
Road accidents remain a pressing concern in Sarawak, with local agencies highlighting the need for vigilance among motorists and continuous enforcement of safety measures.
