SARATOK – A road accident involving a motorcycle and a car occurred along Jalan Roban, Saratok, on Sunday, 29 March 2026.
The Civil Defence Force (APM) Saratok District confirmed that they received an emergency call from the police regarding the incident. Four members of APM Saratok were immediately deployed to the scene to provide assistance.
Upon arrival, responders found an adult male victim who had sustained several injuries. These included a wound to his right heel, scratches on both hands, and pain in his left shoulder.
APM personnel provided immediate treatment at the site, cleaning and dressing the wounds before handing the victim over to a Saratok Hospital ambulance team for further medical care.
Officials reported that the operation was carried out smoothly, with all emergency responders returning safely to the District Operations Control Centre after the incident.
Road accidents remain a recurring issue across Sarawak, particularly in rural districts where motorcycles are widely used as a primary mode of transport.
Authorities continue to urge drivers and riders to exercise caution, especially on busy stretches such as Roban Road, which connects several communities and often sees heavy traffic.
