SARIKEI – The Saratok District Council (MDS) hosted its annual dinner on 11 April 2026 at OE Hotel, Sarikei, bringing together council members, staff, and distinguished guests for an evening of celebration and camaraderie.
The guest of honour, YB Tuan Haji Mohamad Duri, officiated the ceremony, which was also attended by MDS Chairman Encik Muhammad Dino bin Amid and Council Secretary Encik McCrea Joseph Pererra.
Their presence underscored the importance of the event as a platform to strengthen relationships within the council.
The evening began with prayer recitations and opening performances, followed by welcome speeches and the presentation of souvenirs to guests and staff.
The programme reflected both tradition and modernity, blending formal proceedings with lively entertainment.
With the theme “Gen Z,” the dinner carried a youthful and vibrant atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a variety of activities including montage screenings, lucky ticket draws, and musical performances.
Awards such as “Staff of the Year” and “Best Outfit” were presented, recognising excellence and adding a competitive yet cheerful spirit to the occasion.
The dinner also featured a wide array of food, creating a festive environment that encouraged interaction and fellowship among attendees.
