The meeting coincided with the organisation of the Federal Land Monitoring Committee Meeting Number 1 of 2026, which was held at the Sultan Iskandar Building, Jalan Simpang Tiga, Kuching. The committee meeting serves as a platform to review land administration matters, monitor federal land management, and strengthen cooperation between federal and state agencies.

Also present during the courtesy call was YBrs. Encik Mohamad Khairul Hafiz bin Juni, Director of Sarawak JKPTG. His participation highlighted the importance of collaboration between the federal and state levels in ensuring effective land governance.

The courtesy call provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss ongoing initiatives and explore ways to enhance coordination in land and resource management. It also reinforced the commitment of the Sarawak Federal Secretary’s Office to engage with federal departments in addressing key issues related to land administration.

The Federal Land Monitoring Committee plays a crucial role in overseeing land use policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting sustainable development. Meetings such as this are vital in aligning federal and state priorities, particularly in Sarawak where land matters are central to economic growth, infrastructure development, and community welfare.

Dato Ahmad Nadzri’s engagement with JKPTG reflects the government’s emphasis on strengthening institutional cooperation. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, the courtesy call contributes to more effective policy implementation and improved service delivery in land administration.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment to continue working closely in monitoring and managing federal land matters in Sarawak, ensuring that governance remains transparent, efficient, and aligned with national development goals.
