KUCHING – The Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, was seen spending a relaxed morning with his family at Jalan Rubber on 17 May, where they visited two well-known eateries.
The Governor, accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi and their daughters Sharifah Fariah and Sharifah Nong-Jasima, began the day with breakfast at Curry House Restaurant.
Arriving at around 8.00 am, the family enjoyed a quiet meal together before engaging warmly with other patrons.
Many customers took the opportunity to greet the Governor and his family, with several requesting photographs to mark the occasion.
Following their visit to Curry House, the family proceeded to Yummy Cafe, another popular spot along Jalan Rubber.
The cafe prepared one of the Governor’s favourite dishes, mi belacan, which has long been associated with Sarawak’s culinary heritage.
