KUALA LUMPUR – The Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, and his consort Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, hosted a family dinner at the Official Residence in the capital on Saturday evening.
The gathering brought together close family members, including daughters Sharifah Fariah with her husband Encik Muhammad Syukri Mohamad Draim, Sharifah Nong-Jasima with her husband Encik Muhammad Nur Hakeem Yusop, and Sharifah Nuril Barieyah with her husband Encik David. Grandchildren Athena and Feona were also present, adding warmth to the family occasion.
During the dinner, the Office of the Sarawak Governor presented yellow rice cakes to Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan.
The gesture marked two significant milestones, the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate in Management upon Tun Pehin Sri earlier that day at the 24th UNIRAZAK Convocation Ceremony, and the couple’s wedding anniversary, which was celebrated on 10 December.
The evening was described as a joyful and meaningful occasion, blending academic recognition with personal celebration.
Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan later posed for a souvenir photograph with family members and officers, expressing gratitude for the prayers and well-wishes received.
The honorary doctorate awarded to Tun Pehin Sri reflects his longstanding contributions to leadership and governance, while the family celebration highlighted the importance of unity and togetherness.
The event underscored the balance between public service and personal milestones, offering a glimpse into the family life of Sarawak’s Head of State.
