Sarawak Governor Spreads Raya Joy with Cash Aid for All Races

Sarawak Governor Spreads Raya Joy with Cash Aid for All Races

SADONG JAYA, March 28 – In a heartfelt act of generosity, the Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, alongside his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd. Sanusi, distributed Raya money donations to hawkers at Pasar Sampun.

The event was more than just a visit; it was a moment of joy for the hardworking small traders who struggle daily to make a living. The Governor’s presence and his charitable gesture brought smiles to the traders, offering them much-needed financial support ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

What made this initiative even more special was its inclusivity. The donations were given to hawkers from various racial backgrounds, including the Iban, Chinese, and Bidayuh communities. This reflects the spirit of unity in Sarawak, where different ethnic groups live in harmony and support each other, especially during festive seasons.

People-Oriented Leadership Strengthens Unity

The Governor’s initiative is a clear symbol of Sarawak’s people-first leadership, which prioritizes the welfare of all its citizens, regardless of race or religion. Acts like these not only promote unity but also demonstrate the strong sense of togetherness and goodwill that defines Sarawak.

As Sarawakians prepare to celebrate Hari Raya, this generous donation serves as a reminder of the state’s caring leadership and the importance of sharing and supporting one another. It is through such acts of kindness that Sarawak continues to flourish as a model of multicultural harmony and inclusivity. — TYT Sarawak
