KUCHING – The Sarawak Police Commissioner, YDH CP Datuk Mohamad Zainal bin Haji Abdullah, took part in a coordination meeting on 22 June 2026 to prepare for the upcoming motorcycle convoy of the Premier of Sarawak, scheduled to run from Batang Lupar to Sibu.
The meeting was convened at Wisma Bapa Malaysia’s Main Meeting Room and chaired by the Sarawak State Secretary, YB Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar bin Marzuki.
The session focused on ensuring smooth logistics, traffic management, and public safety during the convoy, which is expected to attract significant attention along its route.
The police commissioner’s attendance underscored the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) commitment to safeguarding the convoy.
His involvement highlighted the importance of road safety and traffic control measures, which are central to the planning process.
The convoy is anticipated to be a high-profile event, requiring close coordination between multiple agencies.
Also present were senior officers from the Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department and the Sarawak Internal Security and Public Order Department.
Supt. Bingkok anak John, Head of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement, and Supt. Samima binti Mustapha, Deputy Head of Internal Security and Public Order, joined the discussions to provide operational insights.
The meeting brought together representatives from various enforcement and security agencies, reflecting the collaborative approach taken to ensure the convoy’s success.
Such coordination is vital in managing large-scale events, particularly those involving high-ranking state leaders and extensive public participation.
