KUCHING – The Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, visited the graves of his late parents at the Kuching City Mosque Islamic Cemetery on Friday afternoon, 27 February 2026.
Following the completion of Friday prayers at the mosque, Abang Johari made his way to the cemetery to pay his respects to his father, the late Tun Abang Haji Openg bin Abang Sapiee, and his mother, the late Toh Puan Dayang Hajjah Masniah binti Abang Haji Abdul Rahman.
The Premier, accompanied by several guests, joined in the recitation of Surah Yasin, which was led by the Grand Imam of Sarawak, Sahibul Fadilah Dato Haji Mustapha Kamal bin Haji Ahmad Fauzi. The solemn prayers reflected the deep respect and remembrance for his parents, who played significant roles in Sarawak’s history and community.
