Sarawak Premier Cheers Bintulu FA Victory at 2025 Cup Final
KUCHING, 15 February 2026 – Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, attended the highly anticipated final of the 2025 Sarawak Premier Cup at the Sarawak State Stadium this evening.
Arriving from Kuala Lumpur, the Premier made his way directly to the stadium, demonstrating strong support for the continued development of football in Sarawak. His presence highlighted the state government’s commitment to nurturing local sporting talent and promoting community engagement through football.
In his address to the audience, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman expressed his gratitude to the Sarawak Football Association (FAS) and the various agencies involved in organising the prestigious tournament. The Premier took the opportunity to also congratulate Kuching City FC on their 3–1 win against DPMM FC, a result that secured their place in the semi-finals against Selangor FC.
