KUCHING: Sarawak Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and his wife, Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang visited the grave of the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang at the Tanah Perkuburan Islam Semariang on Tuesday.
The couple, accompanied by Muslim heads of departments, recited Yassin and Tahlil prayers in memory of the late Puan Sri, who was the wife of the Premier of Sarawak.
“On behalf of the Sarawak Civil Service, I extend my deepest condolences to the Sarawak Premier and his family on the passing of the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani.
“During her lifetime, she reminded us of the importance of welfare, health, and unity within our civil service family. May her soul be blessed and placed among the righteous,” said Datuk Amar Abu Bakar.
Datin Amar Baduyah also paid tribute to the late Puan Sri, describing her passing as a profound loss to the Sarawak Civil Service Women’s Association (MAKSAK Women).
“As the Advisor, she inspired many and consistently supported MAKSAK Women Sarawak’s efforts. On behalf of MAKSAK Women, I extend our condolences and prayers,” she said.
The late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani passed away at Normah Medical Centre at 3.34 a.m. on Monday at the age of 76. She was laid to rest yesterday afternoon at the Semariang Muslim Cemetery.
