TYT Sarawak Returns Home After Smooth Official Visit to Kuala Lumpur

KUCHING, Dec 10 – The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, arrived safely in Kuching this afternoon following a series of official engagements in the nation’s capital.

Their arrival at the Hornbill Skyways Terminal, Kuching International Airport, at 12.30pm marked the completion of their official duties in Kuala Lumpur. As is customary, a small but respectful welcoming party was present to receive the Head of State and his spouse, reflecting the long-standing tradition of honouring the roles they carry.

Hornbill Skyways Chief Executive Officer Encik Wan Mohamad Ali Wan Abdullah led the welcoming delegation, accompanied by Senior Press Secretary to the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Encik Samuel Simon, as well as senior officers from Astana Sarawak. Their presence underscored the importance of the visit and the strong working relationship between state institutions.

According to Astana Sarawak, the official visit to Kuala Lumpur went smoothly, with all scheduled meetings and engagements successfully completed. Throughout the trip, Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan extended their appreciation to the various parties involved in coordinating the programme, acknowledging the effort required behind the scenes to ensure seamless movement and well-managed events.

They also expressed deep gratitude for the hospitality and cooperation shown by all agencies during their time in the capital, noting that such support reflects the strong partnership between federal and state bodies. The Head of State emphasised that these engagements contribute to ongoing collaboration that benefits Sarawak and strengthens ties with federal leaders and institutions.

With their return to Kuching, attention now shifts back to state affairs, where Tun Pehin Sri is expected to resume his official duties as the Yang di-Pertua Negeri. The successful completion of the visit demonstrates the continued commitment of the state’s leadership to maintaining close relations and ensuring Sarawak’s interests are well-represented.
